Sustainability at Landimmo – Carbon neutrality powered by geothermal energy

One of our key mid-term goals in the development of our real estate projects is carbon neutrality. To achieve this, we select the best materials and construction systems, taking into account their environmental impact at every stage of the process. With the use of sustainable, low-carbon materials and the integration of innovative technological solutions we reduce our ecological footprint significantly.

As part of this sustainability approach, we have explored geothermal energy, a 100% renewable energy source, in the context of our ambitious Josephine project. In concrete terms, we carried out a geothermal response test at the project site in the summer of 2024, the results of which were very promising: The subsoil’s thermal conductivity is high enough to meet the building’s energy needs independently.

Following these positive results, we are currently working on the design of a 100% sustainable, DGNB-certified building which combines energy efficiency with environmental protection.
